Yes to homes, no to destroying our garden
The St. John's estate has recently been the site of development for much-needed homes which are nearly complete. More are needed (as is improvement of existing homes). We are an estate that struggles to foster a sense of community. The one consistent thing we have been able to do together is create and nurture a community garden, and we are proud of its history and how much it is thriving and bringing residents together. We would like the council and the built environment professionals involved in this project to think more creatively about alternative ways of increasing the number of homes on our estate that do not involve demolishing our only existing community asset.
