Yes to homes, no to destroying our garden
The St. John's estate has recently been the site of development for much-needed homes, which are nearly complete. More are needed, as is improvement of existing homes. However, this should not be at the expense of our thriving community kitchen garden — an irreplaceable space that brings residents together to grow food, find solace, and breathe fresh air. We would like the council and the built environment professionals involved in this project to think more creatively about alternative ways of increasing the number of homes on our estate that do not involve demolishing our only existing community asset.
