Respond to Hackney's consultation

The council is running a public consultation on the Cherbury Court development proposal (Stage 2) for the St John's Estate which closes on 21 June.

How to respond

  1. Go to the consultation page: Cherbury Court Development Proposal, Stage 2
  2. Read through the proposal so you understand what is being suggested.
  3. Click on 'Share your views' to begin the survey.
  4. Try to answer the questions, using the free text boxes to input in ways that might not be covered by the questions:
    • You support the delivery of new, much-needed homes on the estate.
    • You object to the loss of the community garden as part of the proposal.
    • The garden is a vital, well-used community asset that brings residents together.
    • You'd like the council and architects to explore alternative layouts or sites that deliver the homes without removing the garden.
  5. Use your own words if you can — personal stories about the garden carry real weight. Include a few sentences about what it means to you, your family, or your neighbours.
  6. Submit the form before the consultation closes on 21 June.
